Tracking Policy

The tools on this website that record or share information about your visit, and how to switch them off.

Last updated: October 20, 2026

We keep tracking to a minimum: no advertising, no social media pixels and no selling of information. For a legal practice, even which pages you read can be private, so we have set things up to collect as little as possible.

1. Our own server records

Our web server notes the IP address, page, time and browser type of each visit, to keep the site running and secure. These records stay with us and our hosting provider and are deleted after 14 days.

2. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a service from Google, to count visits and see which pages are useful, for example how many people use the court directory. It uses the two _ga cookies listed in our Cookie Policy and records the pages you view, roughly where you are (city level), your device and browser, and how you arrived at our site.

How we have set it up:

  • We don't use it for advertising. Google Signals and ad personalisation are switched off in our website's code.
  • We don't send Google your name, email address, phone number or anything you type into our forms. Pages are sent to Google without any search text, so what you type into the court search stays with us.
  • Google Analytics does not run in our staff dashboard.
  • Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
  • Google keeps the detailed data for GA4 data retention setting, recommended 2 months.
  • Google may process this information in the United States and other countries.

Turn Google Analytics off on this website. Your choice is saved in the khl_analytics cookie for one year, and Google Analytics won't load while it is set. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as turning it off.

Google Analytics is on for this browser.

You can also install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which works on every website.

3. Google Fonts

Our pages use typefaces from Google Fonts. To show them, your browser downloads them from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details. Google Fonts does not set cookies.

4. Our emails

We only send our newsletter to people who sign up for it. Once a sending service is chosen: say whether it records opens and link clicks, and how to avoid that

5. Links to other sites

Links to Zoom, Google Maps, the courts and other websites take you to services with their own tracking and privacy policies.
